TERMS OF USE

Article 1 : OBJECT 

These terms and conditions are applicable to all tenants who have booked a stay at Le Ptit Beccon and are reserved for the exclusive use of the seasonal rentals of Le Ptit Beccon. The word "tenant" refers to the tenant or tenants who have previously booked or have arrived at the accommodation and have made a holiday rental reservation with Le Ptit Beccon. Any reservation made with Le Ptit Beccon constitutes a contract. Le Ptit Beccon is the owner and administrator of the www.leptitbeccon.com website. Only French law is applicable to the contract.

Article 2 : PRIVACY 

Le Ptit Beccon undertakes not to communicate to any other entity any information of any nature, on any support, that the tenant may have communicated before, during or after the execution of the present contract. However, these conditions do not apply to requests for information made by the authorities and/or the courts.

Article 3 : RATES

Prices and information published on our website www.leptitbeccon.com are non-negotiable. Prices established at the time of booking do not include tourist tax. In accordance with article 293 B of the French General Tax Code, VAT is not applicable.

Prices can change during the season.

Article 4: RESERVATIONS

Bookings can be made by telephone or e-mail. All bookings will be validated after reception of an e-mail to which the signed rental contract will be attached, and after reception of the deposit by bank transfer or cheque. 

Article 5 : DEPOSITS

If the contract is for a rental of 6 nights or more, a deposit of 30% of the total rental amount is required. A deposit is considered as a deduction from the rental price. In case of cancellation up to 14 calendar days before arrival, the deposit is refundable. In case of cancellation 13 days or less before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.

Article 6 : PAYMENT

The total amount of the rental must be paid at the latest on arrival.

For stays of 6 nights or more, the amount to be paid on arrival is the total rental price less the deposit.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Vacation vouchers, lunch vouchers and credit or debit cards are not accepted by Le Ptit Beccon.

Article 7: TOURIST TAX

The tourist tax is collected for the municipality and is payable on arrival at the accommodation. A legal notice is posted in the accommodation stating how the tax is calculated and collected.

Article 8: DEPOSIT

A deposit of 300 euros must be paid on arrival. This deposit will be returned if no damage is found on departure. The deposit may be partially or fully retained by Le Ptit Beccon in the cases set out in articles 10, 11 and 14. The deposit can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Article 9 : ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY

The accommodation is designed for a maximum of 4 people and 1 baby. The double bed can accommodate 2 people, child or adult. The lower bunk bed can accommodate a child or an adult. The upper bunk bed can only accommodate a child. A cot is available on request. Under no circumstances may it be occupied by more than 3 adults and one child/teenager and eventually a baby. The management can refuse entry to any additional person. Any night's accommodation by an undeclared person will result in the immediate cancellation of the contract and the departure of the tenant without financial compensation.

Minors not accompanied by their parents or legal guardians will not be admitted.

The tenant may not request to stay in the accommodation at the end of the rental period initially stipulated in the contract, unless with the agreement of Ptit Beccon.

Article 10 : SERVICES

  • Cleaning: The rental price includes cleaning. However, the "Like at home" policy applied in this accommodation implies a minimum of cleaning and tidying up by the tenant before the accommodation is returned. In the event of a flagrant lack of cleaning and tidying when the accommodation is returned, Le Ptit Beccon reserves the right to retain 20% of the deposit, i.e. 60€.

  • Bed linen: Bed linen is included in the rental price. No change of bed linen will be offered during a stay of 6 nights or less. 

  • Bath linen: The rental price includes bath linen. No change of bath linen will be offered for stays of 6 nights or less.

Article 11 : USE OF THE RENTAL 

Le Ptit Beccon will provide the accommodation in accordance with its description and will maintain it in good working order. The tenant will enjoy the rental in a peaceful manner and will make good use of it, according to the destination of the accommodation. The accommodation rented is for seasonal tourist rental.

On departure, the tenant undertakes to leave the accommodation as clean as he found it on arrival. Any repairs made necessary by the tenant's negligence during the rental period will be charged to the tenant and deducted from the deposit.

The rental may not be used by any other person, except with the prior agreement of Ptit Beccon. The tenant is prohibited from subletting, even free of charge, on pain of termination of the contract. The full amount of the rent will be retained by Ptit Beccon.

The installation of tents or the parking of caravans on the grounds of the rented property is forbidden.

The number of tenants may not exceed the maximum capacity indicated in the catalog or description.

Article 12: NOISE AND BEHAVIOR

This is a family accommodation and is not suitable for any type of party. Tenants are asked to keep noise to a minimum (music, television, loud conversations, moving furniture, slamming doors, etc.) after 11pm.

The wooden chalet is very noisy. Please do not slam doors or windows, and move furniture as little as possible.

We will not tolerate aggressive behavior of any kind. Anyone who is aggressive, angry or disrespectful towards neighbors, visitors or management will be asked to leave immediately without refund.

Article 13 : PETS 

Le Ptit Beccon does accept pets only if they are clean and not destructive. We do not allow them in the bedrooms or on the sofa. We do not allow any pet grooming in the bathroom.

Article 14 : INVENTORY

The inventory of furniture and other equipment is made at the beginning and end of the stay by Le Ptit Beccon or its duly appointed representative, and the tenant. If it is not possible to make the inventory on arrival, the tenant has 24 hours to check the inventory displayed and report any anomalies to Ptit Beccon. After this period, the rented property will be considered free of damage on the tenant's arrival. A contradictory inventory must be established at the end of the rental period. The tenant accepts that this inventory can be made either with Ptit Beccon or his representative. If the Ptit Beccon or its representative finds any damage or shortages in the inventory, it must inform the tenant within one week. Depending on the nature of the damage or shortage, the deposit may be retained in full or in part to cover the cost of repairs or replacement.

 

Article 15: CANCELLATION / CANCELLATION OF STAY
We would like to remind you that, in accordance with articles L221-28 and following of the French Consumer Code, none of the services offered by Le Ptit Beccon are subject to a right of withdrawal. Consequently, any cancellation made by the customer after booking and before departure will have the following consequences:

15 a) CANCELLATION AT THE RENTER'S INITIATIVE

In case of cancellation up to 14 calendar days before arrival, the deposit is refundable. In case of cancellation 13 days or less before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.

If the tenant does not arrive within 24 hours of the arrival date indicated on the contract, the contract is cancelled and Ptit Beccon may dispose of the rental. The deposit is also acquired by Le Ptit Beccon.

15 b) CANCELLATION AT THE INITIATIVE OF PTIT BECCON

In case of cancellation by Ptit Beccon, the management will refund to the tenant all sums paid. The tenant will not be eligible for damages or compensation for moral or financial loss.

15 c) CANCELLATION DURING THE CONTRACT

If Ptit Beccon cancels the contract during the term of the lease, it must be duly justified (e.g. non-payment of rent, bounced cheques issued by the tenant, proven deterioration of the rented premises, neighbor complaints, etc.). This cancellation, which is made in person by acknowledgement of receipt, entails the tenant's departure within two hours of receipt of the letter notifying him of this decision. In this case, whatever the reason for the cancellation, the full rental amount is retained by le Ptit Beccon.

Article 16 : INTERRUPTION OF STAY

In the event of early interruption of the stay by the tenant, and if Ptit Beccon is not held responsible, no refund will be made, except for the deposit.

Article 17 : INSURANCE
Le Ptit Beccon is insured for professional civil liability by MACIF ASSURANCES.

Article 18 : DISPUTES

All claims must be sent as soon as possible to Alexandre FAYEN, 131 Route de Beccon, 74350, Cruseilles, who will endeavour to find an amiable solution to any dispute:

  • if the contract has been signed between Ptit Beccon and the tenant,

  • if the complaint is made within the first three days following arrival, for any dispute concerning the inventory or the description,

  • at the end of the stay for all other disputes.

For all disputes arising from the execution or interruption of the present contract, only the Courts of the jurisdiction of the location of the property which is the object of the rental are competent.

The Ptit Beccon is located on the heights of Cruseilles, in Haute-Savoie.
